Re: IUD?
I'm debating getting one. Mirena, I think. I'll be talking it over with my ob/gyn next week. I'll let you know how it goes.

Re: IUD?
I was JUST about to post about this. I'm calling my Dr today to schedule an appt to get it. My script for my Nuvaring ran out and I'm due for a checkup I guess.
The only thing I'm worried about is secondary infertility issues because of it. I want the Paraguard though - no hormones.
Does anyone know anyone that used an IUD after their first child and had no problems conceiving a 2nd? I'm concerned because I also heard that c-sections can sometimes cause scarring which can in turn cause secondary infertility so I wouldn't want to add to that with an IUD.

Re: IUD?
I have the Mirena and I love it. My periods have been lighter therefore my cramps that I used to be in bed with are gone.
I got it b/c it was reversible (if I wanted more kids I could just have it taken out).
I've had it since March and I literally have no complaints.
It didn't hurt me when the doc put it in - just slightly uncomfortable for a minute. They gave me tylenol before the procedure. I felt great afterwards and didn't have any "down" time.

Re: IUD?
OK I LOVE my IUD. Its great not having to think about it and I have no side effects and don't even realize its there. For me it was uncomfortable getting it put in but bearable. I had some cramping that I took Ibuprofen for. I went home and took a nap and was as good as new when I woke up. Best birth control I've had yet.
