IUI Monitoring

Hi Ladies! I'm currently on CD14, took clomid 5-9. I went in today for bw and sono and they said I am responding well. I have (if i remember correctly) a 17.5, 15 and 13 on one side and then smaller ones on the other. They want me back in tomorrow for another sono and bw.

How big do the follies have to be to trigger?

Also, I have a ton of ewcm today and I am feeling pains in my ovaries more today than usual, but the ovulation strips are totally negative. Is this ok?

TIA!

Re: IUI Monitoring

I think between 17-24 is good.
For example, all of mine were around 21 this time.

Did the doctor tell you to use the ovulation strips? It may not be accurate due to your PCOS. But regardless, the doctor's monitoring will be the best way to tell- tomorrow they should grow a bit and they will probably tell you to do the trigger shot. Then you don't have to worry about missing your surge. Everything will be timed perfectly!
Good luck!!!

Thank you. So hopefully tomorrow I will be able to trigger. They didnt tell me to use OPK i just decided to try one since I have ewcm. If the IUI is going scheduled for Wed should we BD tonight or no? DH has a good count but low motility.

I mean, you never know, you might trigger tomorrow, but it's often hard to predict follie growth. Mine were around 12 after a whole week of stims and then 2 days later they were in the 20s.

If you trigger tomorrow, you'll ovulate 24-36 hours after that, so it's necessary to BD tonight. I don't know about motility, maybe someone else can comment.
