How much monitoring for clomid w/out IUI
I cannot afford to do IUI with clomid because my insurance does not cover anything. The biggest expense would be the monitoring. If I just did the clomid how many times a month would I need to get monitored?

Re: How much monitoring for clomid w/out IUI
i used femara not clomid, but didn't do an IUI. We did timed intercourse.
I went on cd4. Took femara cd4-8. Then went in for monitoring at cd13, and cd 16 to check the follie sizes. On cd 16 they were mature and was told to trigger.
It all really depends on how you respond to the medicine. You may need more or less appts depending on how quickly your follies are growing.

Sorry, I really should have explained it better.
When I was doing clomid with my RE. I went it on day 3 of my cycle and had an internal U/S done. They take a look at the ovaries and your lining, I also had bloodwork done to monitor hormone levels. Then I went back around o time for another U/S, usually about 5 days after the last pill to see growth and response, also took bloodwork.
I did this for IUI and timed intercourse.

CD3 for bloodwork and sono. Then I go back on CD10 for another sono to see how the follies are doing and they can tell me when to BD. Depending on how big the follies are, they might have you come back a second time. Mine are always mature by CD10 so it's just 1 appointment. I'm not sure if your Dr. will have you go back a week after O for bloodwork to see if you Od.
