IUI Questions
Questions for a friend:
Does it increase chances of multiples?
Is it covered by insurance if no baby after a year of trying? And what is the cost?
Do you have to stimulate the release of an egg with drugs or can you wait for natural ovulation?
And finally, has anyone ever tried this with any gender selection methods? (Trying to avoid passing on a hereditary disease)
Thanks for any questions that you can answer!

Re: IUI Questions
Only increases chance of multiples if you have multiple follicles.
For the insurance question, each insurance is different.
You can ovulate naturally, but a trigger is preferable for timing purposes.
Gender selection could only be done via IVF with chromosome testing like PGD.

Questions for a friend:
Does it increase chances of multiples? If you have multiple follicles. I had 4 but 1 was viable (I wound up pregnant with that 1)
Is it covered by insurance if no baby after a year of trying? And what is the cost? My insurance covered unlimited IUIs (no limit)
Do you have to stimulate the release of an egg with drugs or can you wait for natural ovulation? I did natural ovulation for a few months with no success. Then I was put on clomid and got pregnant on first try.
And finally, has anyone ever tried this with any gender selection methods? (Trying to avoid passing on a hereditary disease) No, never did this.
Thanks for any questions that you can answer!
