IUI without measuring follicle size?
Had an IUI but the doctor didn't measure follicle size. Is this normal? I asked about the follicle size after the procedure, doc said it wan't measured. I am little concerned because how did the doc know the timing was right without knowing the size

Re: IUI without measuring follicle size?
If you had blood work then they can tell when you are going to O by your LH surge. If you used a trigger shot then IUI is timed 24-48 hours after that because it forces you to O.

Re: IUI without measuring follicle size?
I didn't have mine measured. There was no sono. I have no idea why? But they did bloodwork to make sure I was surging. So I guess that was it. Unfort. the cycle failed.

Re: IUI without measuring follicle size?
Babyfaith - no blood work done but had a sono two days before IUI and took Ovedrel the night before. I also use CBFM. sfp0701 - Sorry your iui failed. Good luck to you!
My next appointment is two weeks from IUI. Is it normal not to monitor the progress before 2ww? Thanks.

Your IUI was timed based on the Ovidrel trigger shot. You should continue to BD even after the IUI unless you are doing a second IUI.
The only thing to check in the 2WW is progesterone at 7DPO but that is not always done. Other than that, the next appointment is for a blood test to see if you are PG.
