IVF Moms with multiples and at least 1 more...
From the same "batch" if you know what I mean... ..this might be a specialized question but I know there are a few out there...I will cross post to multiiples.
My DS is 3.5. He is the result of an IVF / ICSI cycle. Fast forward to Sept. 2012, we did a frozen cycle with embryos from the same batch. I am now 24 weeks preggo with twin boys. Past two times I have gotten 3D ultrasounds (I see a high risk doc) - only Baby B cooperates. But he looks JUST LIKE MY DS
I told my DH and he was like..what if the 3 boys are triplets really...what if they all 3 look alike!
Weird? Anyone think the same when you were pregnant the second time???

I don't have multiples, but in order to be identical twins, they would have had to come from the same egg that split. Since you know your embryos are from all different eggs, they can't be identical twins. They probably just look a lot alike because of genetics.

I know what you are saying but what if one of my eggs split...and made 2 embryos...and then one is Tommy and the other is Baby B! You know what I mean?

I do get what you're saying, but I would think that the embryologist would have noticed that as he monitored the embryos after fertilization.

Awww...you're going to have such an adorable family!
I often think about my frozen embies. It is so weird that they were "conceived" at the same time as DD, but will be born years apart.

This!!! With the monitoring that takes place they would know if an egg split. They know how many they eggs they took out and monitor how many fertilize.
I have the potential to have 12 fraternal twins. 2 of them are my girls. but any fraternal twins are just siblings anyway. they just happen to be born on the same day. the difference is that all of the embryos were conceived on the same day.

I have multiples (identicals) but not the result of fertility treatments.
It is my understanding that an RE is under ethical obligations to transfer both embryos in the event an egg splits if the split occurs prior to transfer.
By the way, I think ALL babies look alike in ultrasounds.
