Moms who had IVF the first time around...
If you have DC # 2, can you tell me about your experience TTC DC #2? Did you have embryos saved? Did it involve as much as the first IVF experience? Just trying to get an idea of what my future has in store for me Any feedback would be greatly appreciated!

Re: Moms who had IVF the first time around...
I am not sure my story will be like many others but we did go through IVF to conceive our first DS. We have 6 embryos stored & planned to use them through a frozen embryo transfer when DS was about 1.5 yrs old.
Low & behold, I got pregnant on my own without even trying with #2 when DS#1 was only 3 months old. So now I have two beautiful miracle sons that are 10.5 months apart

Re: Moms who had IVF the first time around...
so when DS was 15m and I got my first period of BFing I made an appt to use my frozen embryos. FET was unsuccessful and then did a fresh transferred two embryos BFN with no embryos left. now awaiting another fresh...... The "procedure" is the same sometimes harder since you have to bring him or have someone watch him. I thought the emotions would be so much better b/c i'd already been blessed but yous still have the same desires... So just form my experience I would say be prepared for unexpected feelings.....

I have a very similar story
We went through IVF to have DS#1 and I had no frozen embryos. I got pregnant on my own when DS was about 5 months old and I am expecting DS#2 any day now! DS#1 is 13.5 months old.

We are trying on our own for awhile but will go back to the dr if we don't get preggo on our own. I have 5 frosties but I don't know how I'd be able to get in for monitoring w/ my new work schedule.

Re: Moms who had IVF the first time around...
We went back to the RE when DD was 6 months old. We had 6 frosties.
At the suggestion of our RE due to our fertility issues, etc, we opted to do a new form of PGD on the remaining embryos (called Microarray testing). It looks at all the chromosomes rather tha the 13 that PGD tests. So, we had to wait 8 weeks to even start a FET cycle due to having to wait for the results.
Out of our 6, 2 were viable. The other 4 either had extra chromosomes or were missing one. A FET was much easier than a fresh IVF as it didn't require as many shots. Also the benefit of it was that once I was close to transfer, we were able to actually schedule the day of transfer which helped greatly in being able to get someone to watch DD.
