Re: Jewish Moms - Bris question
I would wear a nice pair of black pants and a sweater or leggings with boots and a nice tunic sweater... You do not have to get to fancy.. Business casual works...
regarding gift: If they have a registry and they did not have a shower, get something form there. If they did have a shower, than a token gift would work. I would never go empy handed..
If there is an older sibling, I would bring a big brother a sister gift--- coloring book and crayons, puzzle ( something small)..
Hope this helps..

you should dress business casual. gifts are usually money in increments of $18. 18 chai which means luck.

Dress as if you're going out for a nice dinner or what you'd wear to a shower. Nice dress pants and top.
Get a gift off their registry or money. That's pretty much what I got. I didn't have a shower, but we did register so we got everything for DS either at the Bris or it was mailed to us after he was born. BTW... you don't have to stay in the room during the whole "bris" part. I never have... not for my nephews or my own son. After... it's usually catered from a Kosher Deli. Lots of food, cookies, cake, etc.

Re: Jewish Moms - Bris question
I agree with others on the dress-- dress up, but not fancy... Look nice and presentable.
As for gift-- if you already purchase a baby gift, IMO you don't need something additional to bring... But otherwise, bring your baby gift there or just send it as you would have planned to-- especially if the bris is not at their home.
