Joining you ladies again and a question. Doing an iui without IF insurance coverage?
Hi ladies. I use to be a frequent poster over here while ttc my dd who is now 11 months. We had a chemical back in May and now it looks like my pcos is back which is very bad timing since dh does not have fertility coverage under his insurance. With dd I did clomid plus iui. I was wondering if anyone has done iui without coverage and wouldn't mind sharing the cost. Look foward to chatting with you girls again!

Because you have PCOS, can the Dr. bill under medical and not fertility? Just a thought.

We don't have any coverage. B2b IUI's not including the Femara, Ovidrel or Emdometrum were around $2300.

No we didn't shop around. I didn't know I had no IF coverage till after we did all the testing and were ready to start on a cycle (even my testing wasn't covered)! At that point I wanted to just go ahead with it and not switch doctors especially since I like my RE. We got pregnant on the 2nd IUI/Femara. Thank goodness because we couldn't afford anymore after paying for all the testing as well!
I think there was a thread on here previously about IUI costs and it was pretty comparable to what others had posted.

I remember being told out of pocket, an IUI would be $450. I assume it's comparable in most places

ETA: Because Michelle clarified, I figured I should as well This price is JUST for the IUI and nothing else.
Remember also if your place does them back to back, it will be around $900

My insurance was billed $1300, that included monitoring, and B2B IUI. Meds were additional, and it depends on what meds are prescribed. GL!!

the IUI isnt expenisve as much as the monitoring. That is what adds up. I think when i figured the cost it was around 2000
