June mommies who work in schools...

How are you taking your maternity leave? Are you going back in September, after FMLA, or taking extra time off?

As of now, my last day of work is going to be Friday June 5.

I am going to try to stay as long as possible. I would like to work until June 12th because I am due June 20th. I work in a HS so June 12th will most likely be the last day of classes. So hopefully I can make it until then. But we shall see. It depends on how I feel and the temperature!

I will be going back to work in September.

The summer vacation doesn't count against the 12 weeks of FMLA to which you're entitled. However, depending on your district's policy, you may not be able to substitute accrued sick leave for the FMLA leave you take after the summer.

i am due june 9th and will work until that day if i can.....b/c i am low on seniority, i hope to be back in sept but with budget issues and the economy the way it is, its up in the air....

i am due July 4th, but who knows if I need to go early!

Right now, I plan on working until the bitter end if I can to save my sick days. If I have to stop working, I'll get my doctor to write something up so I can go on disability so I can collect a little something from my disability insurance and not eat into my sick bank. I will use my FMLA starting in September.

I had my son on June 8, 2006 and I returned the following September. I worked up to my due date which was June 6.
