Thank you for posting this.
I feel like everyone stresses over what to give, what to get, etc and if you think about it, the day after Christmas it's all forgotten.
Do you even remember half the cr@p you got for Christmas last year? I don't.
It's about so much more than materialistic gifts and baking cookies and wrapping things.
Thank you for the reminder.

Awesome advice. For some reason my own mortality has really hit me hard this year and I've been able to focus more on my family and friends and things that really matter. Thanks for the reminder

You are very very right. As someone who has lost a parent at a young age and I almost lost my husband last year, I try to appreciate my loved ones each day.

I'm a littel drunk and a lot unfiltered, so bear with me.
Remember what the holidays are about.
It's not about presents or who gets who what.
When you are getting mad at your husbands for not getting you the "right" thing, remeber that there are some of us that would give ANYTHING to just have our DH's back.
Remember there are people that have nothing, and would love anything.
Give what you can. Appreciate what you do get.
And rememebr that no matter what the spirit of the season is what is important.
I try not to step on a soap box, but I wasted so many years stressing and worrying over the wrong things.
I wish I had paid attention to the people that tried to remind me waht it was really about.
I could NOT have said this better myself!!! TO YOU AND YOUR FAMILY THIS HOLIDAY SEASON MANY MANY

Thanks for the reminder!
I also wasted a lot of time worrying about the wrong things and now, I'm just enjoying everyday and taking things as they come. I have the most incredible parents, an amazing niece and twin nephews, a brother and SIL who are kick @ss parents to those little loves in my life and the most loving BF I could have ever dreamed up. Life is pretty d@mn good! I'll be with everyone that I love and that is my gift!
