Just curious - who got you Mother's Day Cards? Edited with poll
1 from DH, 1 from DC, or both - a seperate card from DC and DH?
I got one just from Cailen.
ETA - 1 from my parents too!

DH said to me this morning, "I hope you aren't insulted I didn't get you a card. I didn't get you a card...because....well....because you aren't my mother." I had to  at the way he said it.
He said he saw cards there that said "To my wife on Mother's Day" but he really didn't feel right about it. He thought the only card should be from Ryan and it should say all of the reasons he is thankful for me. Which I was totally OK with!

I got one from the boys-with a short note from DH signed-your wonderful husband
Then he said Oh did you want me to get a card for you? I figured that was kind of redundant
BUT-he woke up with the boys last night so I had 8 straight hours of sleep and he took me out to dinner and drinks. And got me a necklace and we are doing a family photo session on Wed

DW and I never exchange cards. However, now that DS is 6, he's been making his own cards for events (he's been doing that for a while now). At this age, I just remind him to make a card for mommy, and he takes paper, folds it into a card, and does all the writing and design work on his own. I don't have to help him any more.

Just one that Alex made at school, and my mother bought me a little present. Honestly I don't get all the hype about husbands buying gifts/cards - this is my day to celebrate with MY mother, and with MY children, it really doesn't have much to do with DH at all!
