Just dropped my son at daycare
for the first time and I am sitting here crying. DH had a tear in his eye also....I know its good for him but its just so hard....

I vividly recall the 1st day I dropped him off. I went home and cried all day. I "worked" from home that day and all I did was smell his blankets and cry.
It does get better--i saw how much he liked his little friends at daycare and I called to check in on him. It gets better--PROMISE!!

It does get easier. I saw all the mom's today when I was dropping off in their cars crying. Both my kids have been in daycare from 3 months old and I walked in today (as we have been there all year) saying take them  it was a LONG 3 day weekend. You will get to know the teachers and see how much they learn and begin to like it.

DS has been in daycare 2 days a week for 3 weeks now and I am getting better..Notice I said "I"..not him He is doing fine/has been...it's harder on us....First day, I cried..actually sobbed in my car~

I can remember the first time I took DS to daycare.....They just took him from my arms and shut the door.....he was only 18 mos and I was a mess. I felt so bad for him, His face was saying "how can you do this to me mommy"
But I promise it gets better, for the both of you. When you see how well they develop and how much they learn it makes it all worth it.

The first couple of days are the hardest. I promise, it does eventually get better. I dropped DS off at daycare this morning and it's a new building and a new teacher. It was like he was going for the first time all over again. I cried all the way to work. I don't think it ever becomes super easy but it does get better.

 It gets easier, I swear. The first day I dropped DS I was on the phone every 2 minutes checking up on him. I drove them nuts
