Just found out DD has a milk allergy. Have a few questions for moms who' DC had this

DD had a lot of blood in her stool yesterday. Brought her to the PED and they told me she has a milk allergy and put her on prescription formula Elecare and told me I have to see a pediatric gastroenterologist. They also took her off zantac and gave her something a little stronger( can't remember the name)

My questions are:

If your DC was on Elecare did it work?

If your DC had blood in his/her stool did the
Elecare help that?

Did you see a GI doctor?
If so what did they do?

How long till your DC was better?

DD isn't gaining a lot of weight and I'm hoping the Elecare and the GI doctor will all help her. My poor girl screams in pain and hearing her cry like that and there's nothing I can do but hold and rock her kills me!! Any other info you have please share with me.

Elecare has been on saving grace. DS has been on it for most of his first year and we are slowly introducing milk. Feel free to ask any questions.
