I have heard too many bad things about that freakin hospital!
Rach - could see be having a reaction to the pears??
I was worried about this, too. But she was fine again so quickly, who knows? She's been having pear juice for over a month now and the actual stage one pears for a little less than a week, so who knows. I think I need to see an allergist with her. It's so iffy since we know she has a milk and soy allergy and possibly a rice allergy.

Rachel it does sound like a form of an allergic reaction to me. I am so sorry that you went through something like that. I hope that your ped. can give you some answers in the morning.

I would have been so freaked. As for the hospital I would have probably asked him why did we need to go there if you had no intention on doing anything! Jackarse! I would take her to your ped anyway this morning.

hugs. i know how scary it is to bring your dc to the ER
i hope you do follow up with your ped. we go to schneiders anytime there is a problem. they have an urgent care dept there. even though it is so far away, the care there is excellent.

the same EXACT thing happened to Bryan except he threw up formula and was choking, we brought him to the er- they made us stay overnight and hooked him up to machines it was the most fritening day of my life- luckiily he was fine but they still made us stay overnight to monitor him it was an awful night--

I can't believe the hospital just let you go without further examination... and we wonder why there are so many medical malpractice suits?  I can't imagine how frightening the whole ordeal was... good luck at your doctor visit today

Hi girls. Thanks for all the hugs and support. She is doing fine so far this morning. She slept well last night, had a bottle this morning, played a little and is napping now. I'll let everyone know what happens at the ped.'s later.

Glad she is ok. That is so scary. My husband has a few allergies where his throat closes and he gasps for air so my ped. said to always have childrens benadryl in the house in case the baby inherited those same allergies. Especially with them trying all the new foods.
