I agree that this sounds like a food allergy-my nephew has them. I would do the chest x ray just to be sure but I would also take her to an allergist. Def. keep benadryl on hand and after you see the doc ask him for an epi pen should she be allergic. GL!

I can't believe the treatment you got at the hospital! How can they treat a nervous mother that way?

So, it seems to be that Ava is aspirating when she refluxes. Apparently there's not much we can do about it. Her lungs are clear, THANK GOD, and it doesn't seem to be bothering her all too much. It's happened again a few times today and it's still very scary, but the doctor said that if she's not turning blue and she is still breathing, then there's nothign we can do besides give her a whack on the back. Thanks for all the support girls. It was VERY scary, but I'm so glad she's ok.

I can't remember exactly how he stated it, but he basically said she needs to learn to regulate all the excess saliva and mucus she has in her mouth and throat from her reflux and teething. So, he said eventually she'll get the hang of it.
