Ponchos in Island Park, around the corner from my house! They have what I call the kid zone, a whole section of the restaurant for adults with kids.....and all the tables have paper tablecloths and crayons!!!!

Re: Kid-friendly restaurants in Nassau
We haven't been to the one in Nassau, but The Cheesecake Factory was really good with Christopher on my birthday, brought his food fast, etc, etc.

We don't venture to nice restaurants with the family...we stick to the "chains"...Chili's, Fridays, etc...
Although I will say we LOVE Japanese and Shiro's is great with kids!!!!

Re: Kid-friendly restaurants in Nassau
Maybe we should stick to the chains...Lucas has been a little crazy lately. I see teeth but I hate blaming that...I think we are looking at terrible two time.
So we need to drown him out at restaurants...man I miss restaurants!

Re: Kid-friendly restaurants in Nassau
We take Luke out a lot, but try to stick to louder places. We also find lunch is a lot easier then dinner. Some of the places we have gone are:
Cheesecake Factory (Westbury) Grand Lux (Westbury) The Library (Farmingdale) Miller's Ale House (Levittown) Croxley's (RVC & Farmingdale) Houlihan's (Westbury) Grafitti (Woodbury) Butera's (Seaford) Cheeburger Cheeburger (Plainview) Ruby Tuesday's (Hicksville)
Enjoy!

Re: Kid-friendly restaurants in Nassau
We go out a lot with the kids...
All the cain restaurants and diners are fine..
We also like: The Main Event in Plainview- Sports bar with lots of TV screen, very kid friendly and it is loud so if your little one makes a lot of noise it is perfect. By 5:30 it is filled with families
Miller's Ale House- Levitown??? very kids friendly but get there early if there is a game... If you go to Florida, it is the same one that is in Boca and Delray
Patsy's Pizza in Syosset
Laguna Grill
Pomodorino

Re: Kid-friendly restaurants in Nassau
*Laguna Grill was voted most kid-friendly restaurant on LI. *We also go to West East Bistro on 107 (Hicksville) *Paddy's Loft *Hemingways *Singletons
There's a new BBQ place on Hemp. Tpke East Meadow that I want to try with her.
Basically she goes with us anywhere -- but we got to more casual places than we used to (ex. West End Cafe doesn't have high chairs -- found out the hard way!!)

We do CheeseCake factory with DD, we just hand her the loaf of bread they give you.. and she has a ball with it.
Also chillis is nice, we get a booth and she loves looking around smiling at everyone.. keeps her happy.
