Kids bullying your DC question.
How do you deal with kids bullying your DC? We were at a party yesterday and this little boy had the need to consistently bully AJ. This other kid is 1 yr older and MUCH bigger than AJ. The mother did nothing. She saw everything and didnt do a thing, not even so much as yell at the kid. I have to admit,,,,,,,I got this rage over me and seriously wanted to kick the shitt out of the mother. I dont blame the kid, he is just a child with no discipline and an a'hole for a mother. When I finally said something to the mother she looked at me like I was speaking in a foreign language. As a mother, how was she able to sit back and watch this? I dont get it.

Re: Kids bullying your DC question.
I took DS to a park on Saturday. There was a boy who was about 1 year older then DS (18 mos). If I told DS to go down the slide, he'd run in front of DS. If DS wanted to walk across the bridge, he'd shadow him and not let him pass. At point point, he shoved my DS. So I said, "no pushing". DS just took it.
Anyway, I went home and told my mom. She said that I was like my DS and my sister was like the other kid. So she had it from both ends.
She told me to stick up for myself and then had to deal with the other parents w/ my sister and told them to tell their kids to stick up for themselfs. I don't think a DC should have to "stick up for themself" at this age.
I think there should be a rule that if you aren't going to disipline your kid and its effecting my kid, I can disipline your kid.
I would have said something to the other kid, like no shoving and see if the mom did anything. If not, just keep it up.
