Kim & Kanye reportedly dropped over $800,000 for a North West look-alike to protect their daughter from the paparazzi.
North West gets some super fancy gifts for being just a baby. Charlotte Olympia sends her signature little cat flats, Giuseppe Zanotti (basically her mom’s fave) sends her custom booties, Hermes gifts her comfy (and chic!) blankets. You get the picture.
But her mom and dad, Kanye West and Kim Kardashian, just took it to the next level with their latest investment for their sweet baby girl. They dropped what’s being reported as over $800,000 for a North West look-alike to protect their daughter from the paparazzi. Yep.
The Irish Independent reports that the famous couple did this to throw off the paparazzi and even held auditions for the role! But they didn’t just commit to one look-alike. They apparently hired a body double for the baby’s nanny, too! So if you’re seeing double, don’t second guess yourself.

ita-- shes probably concentrating on walking since she's usually in very crazy heels which are the opposite of friendly to someone carrying an infant-toddler.

Ok my first thought is why f'ing parents would put their 1year old into that crap and put them at risk. I would never put my daughter in the midst of that chaos of put her in danger.

Oh Stop ! I LOATHE these people 100%, but the woman is walking with 500 people in her face and one snaps a picture of her not staring adoringly at her kid and 'she looks so uninterested in her child' .......that's an unfair comment.
as for her shoes, just b/c you have a baby, doesn't mean you have to wear sneakers. I could run in my stilletos if I needed to, I can certainly carry my kids in them.
How about the disturbing fact that OTHER non famous, supposedly NORMAL parents took their own children to audition for the role of this baby's 'stand in' ??? !! THAT is more disturbing to me !
and ETA - I admitedly can not stand the whole family. But as far as her 'faking' the stroller, maybe she did that so she wouldn't have to put the baby in a potentially dangerous situation w/ all of those people in her face trying to get a pic? Maybe it was a 'decoy' to take the baby out a different door or something. who knows?

Seriously...you all are nuts for how much you tear apart at this person you ALL don't even know.
As a mother I would do anything to protect my children. I'm not going to comment on the story of hiring a body double because there is no truth behind it. No one has confirmed it, so its all tabloid shiit.
However, the picture of her holding her DD while walking through a swarm of photographers flashing GOD knows how many light bulbs in their faces and you all are assuming she isn't interested in her daughter because she is looking down!!! WTF?? I mean really?
Maybe JUST maybe she was watching where she was going because the flashes were popping in their faces. If she had fallen because she was gazing into her DD eyes people would have ripped into her for that as well.
What? Once you become a mother you are no longer allowed to wear high heels??? I didn't get that memo.
As for the stroller - you can't see anything but a piece of some blanket underneath the other one. Just because a magazine writes 'look its a towel' means its true? The baby may be in there or she may have shoved towels in there to protect her daughter from the mob of people waiting to watch her push a stroller.
To me I don't think they flash off their DD in the least. For parents who love to have their pictures taken, they do a good job at keeping her out of it all. We all don't know what goes on behind closed doors - but one tabloid or social media posts a pic of her not looking at her daughter and she is uninterested in her child...please

I am SO glad you pointed this out.
"hey world, I am scared for my infants safety. Would YOU audition YOUR child so I can put THEM in danger instead of MY child?"
The person that showed up for this "audition" should have CPS called on them.
And...this is assuming the story is true.

The article said "reportedly" which means it's not fact. Also, IMO I don't know why they need a fake baby, they're never with her anyway.
FTR - those were towels in her baby carrier. It was reported that she staged this "photo op" to prove she was a good mother after that story broke in regards to North flying on a plane with her staff and not her parents.

There are plenty of famous people who have children who are not hounded by the paps. The thing with Kim and Kanye is that they are attention whores. Kim would have no "career" if the paps were not following her around. If they really want to keep the photographers away from their children, they could keep a lower profile but they won't do that. I find it hard to have sympathy for people who complain about the consequences of choices they make who do nothing to change them when they don't like the results.
