Kindle Fire delivery rant
My husband got me a Kindle Fire for a Mother's Day gift. It wasn't a surprise, I asked for it.
Yesterday I beat him home from work and there it is, clear as day, on my front steps for anyone to see, in a box screaming Kindle Fire.
FIrst, I'm annoyed it was left on my steps and not hidden in the bushes or on my back table like boxes usually are. I'm not sure who delivered it, but our usual UPS guy Gus, typically hides our boxes.
Second, what if this was a surprise gift? Why is the box labeled Kindle Fire all over the place?!?! Ugh!
I wrote amazon an email. I'm not sure what they will do about it, if anything. I'm not sure what I want, maybe just an apology. How stupid! Luckily, nothing happened, I'm just annoyed.

Re: Kindle Fire delivery rant
A lot of people complained to amazon about stating on the box that its a kindle fire. Id go make a complaint on their FB page... companies seem to take that seriously these days.
Since it didnt get stolen i wouldnt bother getting upset with them and ask for something. But just let them know they should seriously consider changing that to a regular Amazon box packaging.

Good thing nothing happened. I have mine delivered to my office, but I was surprised that they don't conceal the box.

Great idea to post on their FB page, thanks. And I really don't want anything in return, just wanted to vent. Thanks for listening.

I think Twitter is even better. They really seem to take those to heart.
This is why I always have everything delivered to work! My UPS/USPS guy sucks!

Re: Kindle Fire delivery rant
I always comment on that in the Kindle commerical where the woman is clearly in a city and she comes home and finds a clearly marked kindle fire box on her steps. yeah ok, that's a GREAT idea.
UPS left my laptop in the backyard once. i thought that was bad enough

Re: Kindle Fire delivery rant
This happens to my friend around Christmas time whenever she orders from Amazon. They never put the kids toys in boxes, send them in original packaging and the kids' surprises get ruined.

Re: Kindle Fire delivery rant
For my nook the UPS guy rang the bell and left it in my mailbox, sticking out. Could easily have been stolen. I guess you can't protect everything

im pretty sure nook box doesnt say on the box whats inside... its just a generic Barnes & Noble box... the kindle fire ships in a box that says kindle fire on it rather than a generic amazon box.
