Ladies I need your advice

So I am back to trying again after my mc. For a quick recap we are seeing a fertility specialists, husband and I both have minor issues. First IUI we got pregnant and I had to be put on progesterone suppositories because my uterus was thin.

Now I am supposed to have an IUI within the next few days and instead of the suppositories my doctor wants me to take Estradiol. Here's my problem- right on the bottle huge caution sticker that says "do not take if you are pregnant or plain to become pregnant- see caution insert" The insert states that "this medicine must not be used during pregnany because its use may result in birth defects or cancer later in the childs life" Not to mention it states in every other line that this medicine increases the risk of ovarian and breast cancer in women.

I'd be crazy to take it right? Has anyone taken it? I called the office and expressed my concern. They put me on hold and came back on and said the dr wouldn't give me something if it would harm me or the baby if the IUI were to work.

Thoughts??

Estradiol is commonly given to improve lining issues, trust your dr. Many of the meds prescribed by an RE with IUI, IVFs etc. would never be used by the "average" pregnancy person but we are not the average person. Good luck to you

i haven't taken the pill. i take the progestrone suppositories. why would they let you take that this time?

Many medications have those warnings, but your dr has weighed the risks vs. reards to find that it is more beneficial for you to take them. Call up your dr and ask so you can be re assured.
