if you have hollow walls or trouble getting into the studs, you can use TOGGLE BOLTS. They are made for anchoring stuff to hollow walls.

This is the exact reason that we saved up money and got one of those flat panal TVs mounted on the wall. I was too afraid to have ANYTHING that might topple on DD.
That poor family.
We did the same.. that scares the crap out of me

My daughter did this when she was about two; I was in the room with her - about five feet (at most from her). The TV was roughly 70 lbs. Landed right on her. Thankfully she was okay but I thought she was dead (she was not moving underneath it).
So tragic
