Laptop question
I am looking for a laptop for about 500 bucks or so
I really will only use it for email, surfing the web and sharing pics. I would like it to have microsoft excel and word too
Any recommendations?
Also, if I buy a wireless card, will I be able to get internet connection or do I have to have a wireless router in my home?
How does this work?
TIA

Re: Laptop question
You need a router or at least someone around you does...
Optimum Online has wireless access points so you only need an id. Maybe your internet provider has something similar?

Re: Laptop question
It's a one time charge for a router. You hook it up to your modem & you're ready to go.

Re: Laptop question
i got the pink mini aspire laptop for xmas fromDH.
it has a wireless card built in, so if you hook up the wireless router in your home, thats all you need.
mine has Windows XP, came with a trial of MS Office, which i already had so i used the key to activate.
its small, lightweight and great for what you want to use it for.
