Leg room: Convertible vs Infant Seats
Hi,
We have a Graco snugride installed behind the passenger seat. The passenger seat is up so far that I can't sit comfortably in the front and end up sitting in the back with DD.
I was thinking about buying a Britax for when the infant carrier is too heavy to carry. Do convertible seats take up more or less room than the infant seat as respects how far the front passenger seat has to be pushed up?
If it takes up more room, I'm seriously considering trading in my new car for a bigger one that we can all fit comfortably!
TIA!

Depends on the seat, some take up just as much room. I think the Britax are pretty big so you might consider a smaller seat. I think with my Evenflo Triumph (which I HIGHLY reccomend) there is a little more room to move the seat back then with the SafeSeat, but the seat is still up quite a bit. You kind of just get used to it!!

When the convertibles are rear facing they take up more room depending on the seat. Once they are turned front facing they take up less room.

i think it has to do with your car as much as the seat.. my britax forced us to have the seat up high in my rav 4 but it didnt need any moving in my van...
