I'm going to the dentist today. Is that a no no?
I went to the dentist too and after I went my friend told me that I am not supposed to get my teeth cleaned from the dentist. I questioned both my doctor and my dentist about it and they both said they strongly disagree and highly recommend getting your teeth cleaned during pregnancy. I have gone 2 times during my pregnancy. I guess every doctor and dentist is different. I 1 thing I did do was tell them I was pregnant and did not let them take the x-rays (which they would not have done anyway since I was pregnant).

You absolutely should get your teeth cleaning while pregnant, your friend is miss informed. Your gums are more susceptible to gingivitis and bleeding so it's important to keep them clean and floss, etc.
As for Xrays and any type of anesthesia for fillings etc that's different.

Also, my OB (who is super strict) told me I was fine to highlight my hair after the first trimester.

I think things have changed a lot on the past 33 years. At least that's what my mom tells me (i'm 31) 
Our youngest is 33. Our oldest, Debi, will be 37, when she TTC. I think her DH, Fred, has been counseling her, on what to do to be a healthy pregnant gal, ie. taking certain supplements now. He's very much into organic/healthy lifestyle. Mary

I've been trying to be good...I haven't had as much coffee, but that's mainly because I get heartburn and/or nausea from it!!
I do have cold cuts a few times a week...
And chocolate, well I think it's a form of cruel and unusual punishment to deny a preggo her chocolate!!
I really try to follow a "most things in moderation" approach.
FWIW - I ate chocolate at least 4-5 times a week with DD, and she was more than fine!!!

I remembering hearing something about it when I was prego with Mason, but no clue why. I guess I'm out b/c Mason and I shared a vanilla softserved cup at the airport

You should definitely go to the dentist when you are pg. In fact, my insurance company allows an extra appointment while you are pregnant for cleanings.

Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaand I just had red Mango for the first time on Saturday.

Is this a "newer" theory!? I never heard of it when I was pregnant with DS. And ate soft serve ice cream plenty of times throughout both pregnancies.

-Drink caffeine/coffee. Everyday. I don't really limit myself in this area
-Eat cold cuts frequently and i do NOT heat them up. yuck
-Don't exercise. Unless you count running after a 1yr old all day, then I guess I do then.

I think it is so funny to read everyone's don'ts, and how different dr's can be!
I don't have any of these things listed as "don'ts" how can they all be so different in what they say no to?
All i know is now I want a giant soft serve ice cream in the worst way!!!!!!!

Cooked shellfish...also didn't think this was bad until reading it here
Once I am out of my first tri I might have a glass of wine. I miss the taste maybe I will try the alcohol removed kind.
