LI Holistic - Getting the Ball Rolling
So, finally, AF is here. Apparently she is on her own schedule and could care less whether I took provera or not a month ago. So....I am going for CD2 bloodwork tomorrow and will start my 2nd IVF cycle. I have decided to try acupunture this time. Since LI Hoslistic is near my house I figure I'll try them. Can someone tell me (or FM me) how often you go, how much it costs, etc.). I assume insurance doesnt cover this right? I am already paying mucho dinero out of pocket for counseling and am trying to work this out. TIA

Re: LI Holistic - Getting the Ball Rolling
Some insurance companies do cover it. Mine did not. They did give me a discounted rate b/c I have insurance but it's not covered. It was $95 for the initial visit and then $65 each visit after that.
I went once a week until I stimmed and the week of stimming I went 2x that week. They also came the day of my transfer and did a treatment before and right after. That was $265.

Re: LI Holistic - Getting the Ball Rolling
During your stimming they suggest 2 x a week and then down to one time after ET. For ET, they may work with your RE, you should check b/c they will go to the office to do the acu before the procedure and after. Since my RE is in the city I went the morning of ET.
My insurance doesn't cover acupuncture for this, but I do get a discount for being an Oxford member. If you get a discount it will be anywhere from $55-65 (depending on your plans discount). I'm sorry I have no idea what the full rate is. Initial consult will be a little more but I cannot remember what it was (did I fry my brain?).
It does help you stay calm throughout the stressful cycle.
Good luck.

Re: LI Holistic - Getting the Ball Rolling
My insurance covers it and I only pay a co-pay.....I paid $20 each visit..
I started at 3x a week and then I was going 2x a week....once I got my BFP I continued 1x a week up until my 16th week of pregnancy....
I think that accu helped me get my BFP and I am forever grateful to Andrea for that!

Re: LI Holistic - Getting the Ball Rolling
That's funny, I was just getting off the phone with them as I read your post. I am starting for the first time tomm. My plan does not cover it, but since I do have ins they quoted me 90 for the consult & 60 pr visit. Could be more or lest dep upon your ins. Good luck!

Re: LI Holistic - Getting the Ball Rolling
My acc. charges $65 per session...but you can buy a package and it's less. Also, I get a discount with the insurance I have as well.
