The grammar mistakes really do not bother me, except one. When people use already, yet, and just with the Past simple.
example: she just had a baby.
that is wrong it should be she's just had a baby; all those time words are to be used with Present perfect....
but seriously, even though the above is incorrect in proper english, the grammar mistakes dont bother me, it is a message board, you arent writing a novel. plus i teach british english and i get teased at work for my 'americanisms'. it is just communication, ya no????

I have done it actually, but mine was obvious and I got called out on it by the authorities.
I am guilty of this ...... I may not be as obvious as some people who do it ..but I do it ... I have no problem calling someone out ..... but last time I got banned not worth it to me I have nothing to prove to anyone on here.

I just don't see how people who dont participate that much, could have a pet peeve. It would seem that someone who dosent contribute, wouldnt have anything to complain about since they are not on alot. I am on alot, and really don't have any pet peeves.
Are you refering to me (which I think you are becuase you posted that right after mine. I try to go on as much as I can, but I am at work during the day, with my boss behind me. But I do think Im entitled to have a pet peeve?

Yup, yuppers, yep, nope....that's kinda annoying to me, but obviously I get over it, its no big deal. Just sounds silly to me, just say yes or no.

I agree with this. There are so many hidden meanings in threads, and cheap shots that go on here it's hard not to think that ..Hence Hollas pet peeve CRYPTIC POSTING.

I concur-this was big in LIW too. When I saw LIW people coming to LIF and doing this I had to refrain from posting "we don't do that over here".

I suggested that post counts be removed. That way everyone is treated equally and not considered better or more experienced than anyone else because they reply on threads with just  to get their count up. Or, the people that talk to themselves to get their count up.
I mean, should your number of posts really matter?

Actually number of posts count to me if I'm meeting up with someone. I'm not saying any one of us can create a fake identity & kill me off in a park, but I'm more cautious if someone has 3 posts & has asked for photos.

Good point, but I would still be cautious anyway. High Post count is not necessarily equal to sanity.

Most grammar I can let slide. But this one drives me crazy! Maybe, because, I THINK, people are using "I" to sound more intelligent. Other grammar mistakes are just mistakes.
