Life lessons for your future child(ren)
I was thinking about this randomly yesterday on the drive home.
If you could walk away in 18 years, what "life lessons" would you want your child(ren) to walk away with?
Mine are: * Treat everyone with the same respect, from the richest person in the world, to the homeless person struggling on the corner.
* Love everyone equally regardless of race, SES, gender, ethnicity, and sex. If a person is a jerk, they're a jerk regardless of the above.
* Treat animals with respect. They are the only living things that will love you unconditionally, never hold a grudge, are the best therapists, and are truly man's(or women's) best friend.
* There aren't bad people. There are only people who do bad things. (with some minor exceptions).
There are a few others but if I start thinking of all of them I'll write an essay.

To be non judgmental. You can't ever know what someone has been through in their life and therefore you should never judge people's actions or decisions.
To respect everyone, especially your elders.
Appropriate behavior should be acknowledged and praised as apposed to expected and ignored.

Life is too short for ******** drama and the people who bring it.
Find a job you love to go to and it won't feel like going to work every day.
Some mistakes are worth making.
For the love of god, take care of your teeth.
Take advantage of every opportunity life hands you --you'll regret not jumping at the chance to do something more than you'd regret doing it.
Save your money --- early and often.
Get dirty, scrape your knees, climb trees, play outside, read a book, sing and dance knowing and not caring that you look silly. Make funny faces. Your face won't stay that way.
Call your grandparents. They won't be there forever and you'll miss them when they aren't.
Read books, draw, keep a journal, listen to a lot of music. These things all will make you smarter, more creative and happier.

you can still be rico suave and treat women with respect.
saying hi to the new kid/loner/special ed child takes two seconds of your time, but it may last a lifetime to them
you never know who you will need in your life. dont burn bridges
whats huge now, means nothing in five years
