LIJ Hearing and Speech Center

DS (20 months, 17 adjusted) was evaluated by an ENT and Audiologist on Fri and I was told that the tests show mild to moderate hearing loss. They want him to be evaluated at LIJ. We have an appt in August (it was the first they had available). They have already mentioned the use of amplification devices. DS just started speech through EI. ENT wants DS to have a sedate ABR done.

Just wondering if anyone has any experience going here and what I can expect when we get there.

My son goes there and we also see an ENT in that office. He is 23 months and also has a mild to moderate hearing loss. He has been getting the sound field hearing tests where they play different tones/sounds and they wanted to see if he turns to the sound. We did get tubes put in in December to see if maybe there was fluid that was affecting the hearing. At that time we also got the sedated ABR done. We are in the process of getting hearing aids.
