Parking at LIJ - Katz center
DH and I were there this morning for my NT Scan (which went really well  ) but I was really confused about the parking situation.
Is there really only just valet or street parking? How does that work when I deliver? Do I go in alone and DH goes to park?  How about all my family/friends who come to visit? Can the car stay in the valet area for hours upon hours (possibly days depending how delivery goes)?

there is a parking garage right in front of the katz center. i am surprised you didn't see it. it's like 3-4 levels, maybe 5

I blame DH on that one! He said there's no parking and refused to even try looking for one.
Glad to hear he was wrong. I'm not surprised - it makes no sense for a hospital to have no parking!

i was just there yesterday to visit my cousin who gave birth there, we parked in the parking garage, i think it was like $4 for an hour. FYI the hospital is really nice!!! and its great you get your own private rooms (at the hospital i'm giving birth at, i have to pay extra)

the garage is literally in front of the Katz building but the signage is not the greatest. Its only 3 levels and you can park there all day.
