I feel so sorry for the families of the victims. This trial has had to have been so hard on them and now the jury is dead locked? ugh...

Re: Limo Crash case
they probaly think he is guilty but the different chages may be deadlocking the jury
the severity of the punishment may be more of the problem

that is what is holding them up - what to charge him with.

I am sure it is but I really do feel bad for the families, to have this dragged out and possibly turned into a mistrail...

Re: Limo Crash case
I dont' think this should be a murder case. Of course I haven't heard the evidence but in my mind this is vehicular manslaughter.

I agree. I don't think this is murder at all. What makes this case any different from any other drunk driving case?

Don't get me wrong - he should go to jail for a long time. THey've just brought him up on the wrong charges.

I'm guessing this argument is what is dead locking the jury.

Cause he told people that he wanted to kill himself - so with that being said - he went out with all intentions of driving the wrong way on the road. He passed numerous cars and he continued to keep driving.

I agree. I don't think this is murder at all. What makes this case any different from any other drunk driving case? he admitted that he was trying to kill himself by a head on collision. IMO, that's murder.

I don't remember hearing him admit that he wanted to kill himself. I remember allegations that people thought maybe him was upset and wanted to kill himself.
I think that he should be put away for a very long time, don't get me wrong. But it's not murder. It's vehicular manslaughter.

I agree 100%
If he intentionally planned on killing himself by crashing with another vehicle, then he had to know that another person's life was at risk-
To me that is murder

If he said he was going to kill himself with a head-on collision, then I say it's premeditated murder. If he just said he was going to kill himself, was despondent & drunk - I would say his judgment was impaired enough that it isn't murder.

Yes. But HE never admitted to saying that. If he had there would be nothing to deliberate right now.
