My husband out of a local in NJ, he is a union electrician. The politics stink. He did have to take furlough twice this year and one time was right around when I got laid off. Luckily he was able to work some side jobs.
Right now his job is coiming to and end and there is so much politics at the job site its sketchy if he will make it to the next job, the wait is over a year at his hall. Idk what we will do - I am trying so hard to get a job so atleast one of us will be working

its horrible. DH used to be with Local 608. Now he is trying to get a custodian job through the Public School system. He works more as a sub custodian than he ever did with 608.

That's horrible. I'm so sorry. But teachers are getting let go also, even positions are being cut
