Long Island Jewish... reviews
I was wondering if anyone has delivered at LIJ within the past year or so? Does anyone have any reviews or suggestions?

A family member delivered there back in September and had nothing but great things to say about the new katz woman's center.
I am going to be delivering there soon.....if I ever go into labor!!! (I'm due today!)
I had ds there back in October 2010 before the new center was built. He was 7 weeks early and had to be taken directly to the NICU. all of the nurses and other drs that i encountered were great with explaining what was going on and could/would happen.

I haven't delivered yet. But did the tour. The hospital is amazing!! And anyone I know that delivered there loved it. You can park on te street to save $. The day you go home valet is free

ive heard great things about the katz center in new hyde park. i have been told the staff is great. i will be delivering there in the next few weeks 
we went for a hospital tour and also a hospital class...everyone seems nice and the place is wonderful!
in terms of parking, they do have a lot (not sure of the rates)...street parking exists but depending on time of day its crowded and you may need to go for the lot

Yea the parking is there. If you are there over a few hrs its costly. I ended up paying almost $20 one night after staying for the tour n class for 3ish hours. Next time we went we parked on the street.

If you can park on the streets I say do it. I was there for a scan (like2 hrs) and I think it cost 6

Is it true all the rooms are private now? When I had DD back in Dec. 2009 I was in a room with 3 other women.

my sis in law delivered there and it was great!!! :) She had her private room and we were allowed up there in the waiting room.

I just delivered there this past weekend. Amazing private rooms, excellent staff, wonderful food. Needless to say, I was very sad to leave. Felt like I was on a retreat. The only thing missing was a massage.
