Looking for a Fire Truck to make an appearance at my son's bday party. Any recommendations??
The theme to our son's bday party is fire engines. He LOVES them and gets so excited when he sees them. DH and I talked about arranging for a fire truck to come to the party, which will be at my mother in law's house in Lake Grove.
We know people on Brentwood and Wyandanch FDs, but DH suggested I post on here as maybe there is someone closer to MIL's.
Anyone? How can/do we go about arranging this?
TIA!
BTW. Party is Sun May 24, 2pm. We'd only want it there for like 45min to 1 hour at most.

I just saw an ad for this in one of those free magazines you get in the doorway of the supermarket. (parents, kids, something like that). I'm at work right now and I have it at home. I'll post it later when I get home.

I would ask the people you know in the other FD and ask them if they can pull some strings.

I would ask your friends in Brentwood or Wyandanch to see if they can pull some strings. I know whenever my DH needs the engine for fire department related events he has to get permission from several people because they have to take the truck out of service. When we used it for our wedding we had to have some of the guys make sure it was back by a certain time and they had to know where it was at all times. We also weren't allowed to have anyone on it who wasn't in the FD for insurance purposes. I think your best bet would be to see if your friends can pull some strings.
