target, ikea, home decorators.
Get an L bracket so that you can bolt the bookcase to the wall for added safety.
We bought a bookcase from IKEA for DD's nursery - I think it cost us $50 and over 2 and a half years later it still looks great.

Definitely Ikea. They have a bookcase called Billy that comes in a bunch of colors & wood shades. We have a white one in our playroom and 2 red ones in my boys' room. They're under $100, depending on the finish you choose. The one we have is 7 feet high, which is great bc I can keep games up high so my 3 yr old doesn't just throw the piece around and my 7 yr old can keep his Lego's up high and the books and other stuff you want accessible down lower.
