Looking for suggestions from BTDT moms who traveled to caribbean with little ones
So I think I may be ready to plan a beach vacation for the family in Feb. These are the things that I am sure I want - direct flight, the shortest possible, I'm thinking Bahamas or Bermuda. (I'd consider Mexico but since DH has been to Cancun, he doesn't want to go to Mexico - I guess he thinks that there aren't any other places to go... ) I think we also want all inclusive and a family atmosphere. Any recommendations or advice? My little guys will be 2.5 yrs and 1 year old. TIA

I've researched lots of places and Beaches is the only "BABY" friendly place. Lots of places rave how they're kid friendly, but mostly for ages 3+. Turks & Caicos Beaches was very expensive when we priced it out for April. They also have one in Jamaica.
FWIW, cruises may not be the best bet b/c lots of them don't allow babies in the pools unless they're potty trained. Swimmy diapers aren't allowed.

Bermuda won't work in February. It's to cool for a beach vacation then. You have to travel between June and August for real summer weather.
Aruba is my favorite island and is very kid friendly. The only problem is that it's a 5 hour flight.

We really love Punta Cana...Really quick flight !
We stay at The Paradisus (and bought into their vacation club because we love it so much)...Awesome kids pool with animal slides, sprinklers, pirate ships etc...Also a great kids recreation room and playground

DH just suggested this. I have to check the flights. I think they may be either longer than I want or more expensive - but I'm going ot look into it.

Thanks for the info about Bermuda - had no idea! I love Aruba too and that was my first thought. Just not sure if I can handle the boys on a 5 hour flight. I can't handle them in my house for that long!

We didn't do an all inclusive or resort but we rented a house on the beach in Puerto Rico this summer when DS was 13.5 months. He had a blast and so did we.

We took Mason to our Aruba timeshare when he was almost 9 months we're going back there this Feb with him
Aruba is a very friendly island and good for kids. Safe! Plus, having a timeshare is the best since we have a big kitchen and he sleeps in the den in the PNP and we have a separate room. Everything is in walking distance

Erica, I would love to go back to Aruba but I'm afraid of the flight with 2 DS..... I wonder if I could survive the flight because I know Aruba would be worth it.
