Looks like Clomid didnt work this cycle...

Last month everything worked great, well except the fact that i didnt get pregnant! But the Clomid worked, I ovulated when I was supposed to. This time it didnt do what it was supposed to. Went to the RE on Tues. and he said I had a few follies at 13 and many under 10. Pretty much exactly what I had at this point last month. SO he said he expected me to ovulate by the end of the week and if not come back Sat. for bloodwork. So after no all week I went back this morning and they haven't matured anymore since last time! I was so upset! Now they want me to go back Tues. and see how things are going. They said sometimes they will do another round of Clomid before the cycle ends.

Im just so depressed because I had myself thinking that by this time I would be getting my IUI and then on to the 2ww!! I really shouldn't gear myself up for this stuff but how can you not?? I just feel like our entire TTC journey has been 1 step forward, 2 steps back.

Clomid is definitely hit or miss. I went through two rounds of Clomid and no follies matured passed 10mm. On my third round, this cycle, I had 1 matured 18mm follie. What dosage did your doctor prescribe? The 50mg didn't do anything for me and neither did my first 100mg round.. I finally ovulated with the 100mg though. Your doctor will most definietly up your dosage in order to make you O. It's really good that they are going to do another round of Clomd during this cycle. I had to start a new cycle each time which really made the process much longer.

I was only on 50 mg this cycle. But I was also on that last month and it worked great for me so I dont know why it didnt work this time. The dr. only mentioned that they do sometimes do the second shot of Clomid, she didnt say they wouldnt definitely do it for me. But I really hope they do!!
