Loose tooth question
DD has had a loose tooth for months! Her new tooth actually has already grown in right over it but the other tooth still hasn't come out! She won't let us near it though. I think it's now somewhat protected by the new tooth so it can only wiggle in one direction making it harder to come out. Do we need to take her to the dentist? She isn't in any discomfort and nothing seems to be discolored or infected.

Re: Loose tooth question
My son had this issue and, yes we have to go to the dentist to have it removed.

Re: Loose tooth question
Sounds like our oldest DC. Every loose tooth had a new one growing in and would take months to fall out. All fell out on their own

Loose tooth question
My DD had that..we called it shark teeth because the adult ones were growing in behind the baby ones. The baby ones eventually fell out and the adult ones moved right into place. dentist wasn't concerned at all.

Re: Loose tooth question
My sons' teeth take a long time to fall out. And he won't wiggle it or let us near it or do anything to help the process along. He keeps them as long as he can. Luckily, only once the full grown adult tooth came in when the baby tooth was still there. The dentist did a quick pull to remove it (although it was torture bc he has huge dr/dentist anxiety). It is his only adult tooth so far that is out of place and pushed back compared to the rest. All the rest grew in nicely. He has nice teeth. Based on that, I'd go to the dentist and have the dentist look at.
