LO's under 1 yrs old..>Whats your BEDTIME routine?

i keep reading i should have one. DS is 11 weeks.
whats yoru routine and how long does it take?

we put DD in her pj's between 7-8pm and she gets a bottle. then she'll sleep in her swing from about 8 to 10:30/11pm and get another bottle. then we all go up to bed together.

on the nights she gets a bath, we do that before her pj's.

We put her in her pj's at around 8. On nights she gets a bath we give her a bath at 8 and then put her pj's on after. Then she gets her bottle around 8:30-9:00. She always falls asleep after this bottle and I wait a half hour to put her in her bassinet because I want to make sure her formula digests. I don't want to lay her down right away and risk her throwing up. She is usually in her bassinet by 9:30 and sleeps until 7:30-8:00 the next morning.

dd is 10months but we started a bed time schd around 4 months.
She gets dinner at 5:30 then plays till 6:30 then bath, Pj's, Bottle and is in bed by 7.

We put DD in her PJ's around 7 or 8 depending on when she wants her bottle, we change her first and then she will have a bottle, sometimes she will sleep after the bottle, sometimes she will stay up, but she is asleep for the night usually anywhere between 9 and 10, if she has the bottle at 7 then she will have another at 9 or 10 then go to sleep after, if she has it at 8 sometimes she will just go to sleep at 9ish for the night. The past 5 nights she has slept through the night to anywhere from 6 to 7am.

With DS1 we had a bedtime routine down pat by 3 months bc I was going back to work. NOt sure how long it took but we would read bottle, then into his room, get changed, read 1 book, sing a few songs and rock to sleep.

DS2 doesnt have much of a routine yet at 4 months old.
I change him, bring him to his brother to say good night, then into the room, lights off, take 3oz of formula, rock in chair for a few minutes while singing a song or 2, then into the crib awake.

I am still working out the kinks because DS1 STTN so easily and I rocked him to sleep until he was 16 months old.
DS2 still isnt STTN regularly so I am working on getting him to go in the crib awake and soothe himself to sleep.
Its still a learning process even with #2!

my son is 5 months....when i see he s getting tired...anywhere between 630 and 7, I wrap him in his miracle blanket, sing him a song and say his prayers while rocking him in my arms, and then put him in awake...he isusually asleep within minutes, if not sooner

DS is 3.5 months. 7:30 we do bath time, then a bit of a massage and some quiet play time as I get him into his PJs. Nurse and read a book, and he's usually in bed by 8:15 or so (and sleeps till about 6:30 or 7:00).

I don't have a strict 'routine' - Don't make yourself crazy, figure out what works for you!!

DH and I both get home from work after 6 (DH after 7:30 usually) it's dinner, baths, playing, TV, books - in any order .....whatever until bedtime. - The only thing we do consistently is read right before bed -

And both of my kids go to sleep with no problem and sleep through the night -

Sean is 2.5 and Colin is less than 4 months .....

Sorry - for Colin ....he eats around 7/7:30 and we just hang w/ him for awhile - if he's cranky i'll take him in his room and rock him quietly - otherwise he's just in the living room with us and Sean until he's ready to go down to sleep - about 8:00 .....and he sleeps until usually 8:00 in the morning. (Until I go back to work in November - I'm going to have to force him into a 6:00 AM wake up routine)

we started a routine around 4 months and he has been sleeping soo well through the night ever since!!

Bath, PJs, read a book in the rocking chair, bottle in the rocking chair, bed -- we start at 6:45/7ish on bath nights and on nights he doesn't get a bath, we start at 7:15pm.
