I HATE HATE HATE hearing posts like this. It makes me ill. Then to see that the poster has such few posts.... it makes me think.. NOT that you are a fakie or anything. It just makes me think if someone would actually tell a story like that to makes other preggers nervous.
I am sooooooooo sorry for you whole family!!!!! I can't even imagine what your brother and SIL are feeling right now. Many prayers out to them!!!! So so sad!!!!!!
Note to other preggers......
Please don't let sad stories liek this effect you. I know it's easier said than done. But try!
Maybe she was doing research on the internet and found this site..... I can't believe that ANYONE would ever think such a thing....

Re: Losing a baby at 27 weeks
I'm so sorry for your loss. My prayers are with you all.
I completely agree that it was not the OP's intention to scare pregnant women. She was looking for support on a families helping families board. Dozens of people ask for prayers every day, why should this be different? I'm sorry Cakes, why would YOU ever consider that a "fake" poster would do this? I think your response was heartless and you should apologize for insinuating something like that on this thread.

She originally posted it on the Pregnancy board, which was where Cakes responded to her. The post was then moved to Families Helping Families.

Yikes - I have to semi-agree - the pregnancy board is NOT the place to post this at all! I'm all for being comforted, but that was an inappropiate place to seek it

I disagree...who cares where it was posted, this is real life, these things do happen. She should have gotten nothing but support...the fact that she did not is inexcusable, IMHP

Don't know the girl - but is she herself pregnant?.. if not why choose that board.. if I was pregnant and read that it would really upsetme. Obvi. LIF agrees since they moved the post...

I guess becuase is was about a pregnancy, if I was not a "regular" on this board, and just came on looking for support, I would automatically go to the pregnancy board.
I think it is silly to say "that is the wrong board" when someone comes on here looking for support
That is all irrelevant now, it is on the "right" board. Let's focus on the point of the post
someone is going through something terrible and heartbreaking, let's not compound it by critisizing the board it was posted on

I am so sorry to hear of your family's loss. Unfortunately, like the other posters have said, anything can happen during a pregnancy at any time including on delivery day. None of us are immune.
And just to add I think Cakes is way off base. Just b/c some of us do not live on the boards 24 hours a day doesn't mean we are fakers. Some of us, like me, have other children, errands, MD appts, and such to take care of.
she was not trying to offend anyone, she was just tring to consule the pregnant ppl. That was all.

You couldnt have said it better. I know "cakes" and I know she wouldnt try to be malicious. I wish they would erase her statement so we can focus on the real issue. This poor girl had a tragedy....its horrific and my heart goes out to your BIL and sister

Re: Losing a baby at 27 weeks
Nobody on the PG wants to hear about miscarriages but unfortunately they are more common than we like to admit. I have seen many women post about their miscarriages on the PG board and get support from other posters.

Re: Losing a baby at 27 weeks
I wrote my post too fast and when I went back to change it I was already quoted. I had no idea this post was still going on. I was informed last week and I was like OMG! If I was able to edit it I would have taken out the first paragraph and kept the last 2. Other than the 1st paragraph my post was fine.
There are pg women who never have piece of mind during their pg's b/c they are so worried about stuff like this. Of course it's real life; stuff like this exists. It happens and that's why some pg women never have piece of mind until their baby is born.
I never meant to offend anyone. If the OP ever FM'ed me and told me that she was offended I would gladly apologize in a flash. But not only did she not FM me she never came back on this post to say anything. I wasn't questioning the validation of what happened to her SIL.... at the time I just had a few mixed emotions and I should have never of posted what I said OR I should have said it much differently.
For those who do know me, they know I didn't mean to be hurtful or malicious; that's not me.
I just wanted a chance to explain myself.
Thanks
