That kitchen is horrific!
I actually find the whole house horrific. Obviously, totally not my taste, but I can't find one thing I like about it. It's way too ostentatious - especially for the area.

Its not my style. I think living that "large" is wasteful & excessive.
One of the kitchens areas is the "chefs kitchen", it has a pizza oven, commercial griddle, commercial fridge. These are popular in the Hamptons so your staff can cook for you on good equipment.
The reality is though, if you've only got a million to spend on a house, you don't have enough money for staff, or even enough to maintain a house that size long term.
There is a McMansion development adjacent to my neighborhood that is similar but not as huge & it is totally unappealing to me.

I'm all for two kitchens, because one oven is never enough when cooking for a crowd, but at least make it the same fridge??? Two different stoves is one things, but why the kitchen aid cheapo next to the viking deluxe? KWIM?

gotta agree with colleen again....
that isn't a house, it's an ostentatious reception hall. It appears to be built solely to impress people. It has no 'soul', if you know what I mean.
I grew up in a large home (**not THAT large, but sufficiently big), and I frankly never EVER want to own one even close to that size. Every small task (cleaning, yardwork, laying down new flooring, decorating) is too huge of a task to be pleasant. everything becomes annoying.
The only excuse for that home is if the partridge family and the bradies move in together

if i had 1.5 million to spend i would not be buying in medford. not to insult medford but there are plenty of places on the island that i would want to live. beautiful house but wrong location.

That house is Beautiful!!! I thought it was a typo when I saw Medford. DH grew up in Medford and his parent's house did NOT look like that!! It looks like a house that should be in South or North Carolina

While I think the house is way to big, I would assume that someone purchasing this home would not be doing his or her won yard work, cleaning, etc. They probably pay people to do it for them.
