Lovenox Girls- A TTC'er with a question
I figured there might be a few Lovenox girls over here.
What is your tip on best Administering?? Do you Ice before & after giving the shot. Do you continue to pinch the skin after injecting?
Also, I am currently taking a large dosage of Omega-3, 4000mg to help with suppressing NK cells. Also I am on Lovenox, but I read you should not take together. I briefly mentioned it to the hematolgist and she said it was ok,,,( but I didn't tell her the dose of Omega 3 I was taking).
I am def going to call and verfiy with my RE.
But I was just curious if anyone else was taking Lovenox with Omega 3 Fish Oil???
Thank you very much for any help!!!
Lot's of to everyone on this board!!!!

Re: Lovenox Girls- A TTC'er with a question
I did not take Omega 3, I took the lovenox and extra folic acid
pinch the skin, inject and DO NOT RUB the area
it is not bad, the needles are tiny and you will get used to it

Re: Lovenox Girls- A TTC'er with a question
as far as injecting goes, i find it less painful the further from my bellybutton i get
i never iced i do pinch the skin and the let go as soon as i take the needle out! if you look closely at the needle, there is one side sharper than the other. I try to hit my skin with the sharper side first, find it less painful

Re: Lovenox Girls- A TTC'er with a question
I bruised a lot-especially all over my belly wear I was injecting. I injected twice a day, it wasn't that bad-it's a little needle.
I did not ice, just pinched and injected. Stings afterwards, but nothing terrible. I was never told to take extra anything-I just took my prenatal.

I am bruising a lot from the injections. I was told icing the area will help.
I would ask about the large dose of Omega 3. Not sure if it is harmful.

Re: Lovenox Girls- A TTC'er with a question
I got good....to where I wasn't bruising at all. Infact the nurse complimented my skills Pinch. Don't rub, but apply pressure after and don't be afraid to move to your sides more. That helped a lot when I started getting little balls under my skin.

I think I am getting better already!!
Yesterday was my 3rd day of Lovenox, and the last two injections I had no bruises.
However, yesterday when I gave the shot there was a dab of the medicine on the top of the skin & I def pushed the needle in all the way?? Is that ok, it was like a drop?
