Low carb induction question
I'm starting induction again on Jan 1st. My usual breakfast is a low-carb chocolate protein shake (with amino acids, flaxseed oil, omega-3, mega green powder, and 1 tbsp of reduced fat peanut putter).
My carb question arises because I also include a frozen banana in my shake to thicken the drink and also for added flavor. So, how much am I messing up my induction if I have one banana in the morning if that's my only "forbidden" carb of the day?
Thanks!

Re: Low carb induction question
No fruits are allowed while doing the induction.

Thanks - I know the no fruit rule I'm curious as to how much it will throw off the induction to have a banana in the morning though.

Re: Low carb induction question
there is a lot of sugar in bananas so if you are trying to get into ketosis the banana might hold you back...

That's what I was worried about since bananas have a lot of sugar and around 26g of carbs.
Maybe I'll add some plain, low sugar yogurt and banana extract to my shakes instead.
Thanks!

Yeah--for induction, you want to stay at 20g of carbs or less. When I was on Atkins, I knew that I couldn't have any more than 10!
