To rent or not to rent is the question
Dh and i just put an offer in on a house that has a huge huge 2 bedroom apt down stairs that is brand new. We cant decide if we want to rent it out or not. Part of me want to keep all the space for our self but then again the help of another income would be great. We are TTC at the same time and considering it is a ranch house one the pitter patter of little feet comes along we might want the extra space. what are your guys thought on this?

Re: To rent or not to rent is the question
If you have enough money to NOT rent...i wouldn't. I honestly think it will be just another headache if you rent...and are TTC.
Just My Opinion!!

I know people use it for the extra income but having a renter in my house never appealed to me

Re: To rent or not to rent is the question
If you can swing it without the rent money, I wouldn't rent it either. It's a perfect place for guests to stay, especially when you have a baby. Your parents or the IL's can stay there.
