Low grade fever with cold?
I am so annoyed...DS had tonsilitis a couple of weeks ago and now has a cold which I think he got this weekend b/c he was swimming all weekend and than in and out of air conditioned houses.
I wouldnt even call it a fever...but warmer than usual. His temp is around 99.5-100. Can they get low grade fevers with a cold?

Re: Low grade fever with cold?
It has happened with Lucas...usually the colds tend to be a little more difficult in terms of his comfort and I guess the fever accompanies that but overall it's okay. If he seems real tired or "out of it" I give tylenol to make him comfortable. If the temp goes up 9 times out of 10 the kid get an ear infection...but not too often does it happen that way..for him anyway.

His nose has been running and he has a slight cough but it's not thick and yellow like it usually is with a cold Maybe b/c it's only the beginning. He is acting totally normal, eating, playing.
With the baby coming in a couple of weeks I just want him to get better so I dont have to worry about bringing with a sick toddler and germs in the house

Lucas has the same thing....totally fine overall (active and playful) but clearly has something going on. Runny nose and cough - just like you described. It's been about 2 days now.
