Low progesterone
Hi,
Was told I have low progesterone. Level was 6.99 and im due for my AF on Wednesday. My pregnancy test is scheduled for Thursday. Does it mean that I'm not pregnant from the IUI a week ago? Because I have low progesterone? They put me on Crinone. They said a normal level is 10. I would love to hear success stories about ladies with low progesterone that got preggos still!

Re: Low progesterone
you can still get pregnant while having low progesterone.
the RE told me that the crinone wont show up in the blood b/c when used vaginally it goes directly into the uterus. Im pretty sure thats what he said.

Because it tends to be higher after a medicated cycle, also higher when you had multiple follies. A 7 means you ovulated.

Re: Low progesterone
Yes I knew I ovulated they even told me that during my IUI last week. I am just afraid that if the numbers are that low I might not be pregnant. When does implantation happen? And will the progesterone help?

Re: Low progesterone
Im not sure if that # is indicative of you being pregnant or not pregnant. only HCg would tell that. Im not an expert though.
I had low progesterone, but positive HCg. Even though it ended in a chemical, it had nothing to do with the progesterone, but more about the quality of the embryo.
Hang in there!!

No, but I'm saying that a level of 7 is only indicative that you ovulated. It is no indication of being pregnant or not. Totally different hormones.
Anything over 5 shows ovulation, though a weak ovulation would be 5-9. They like to see over 10 for a natural cycle and 15 for a medicated cycle.
A level of 10 would be should you had a good ovluation (as opposed to a weak ovulation) and it would also be high enough to sustain an early pregnancy, if that IUI worked.
My first monitored natural cycle I had just below a 7, so they recommended Clomid to increase the strength of my ovulation and therefore, increase my progestrone without doing supps.
