Low Progesterone at 8dpo
Can anyone share with me their progesterone #s at 8dpo?
I had blood taken today and it was 5.9. The nurse said anything over 3 indicates ovulation. But, last month I didn't ovulate and the month before at 8dpo my progesterone was 14.1 and they said they like it over 10. I'm feeling so discouraged by today's # and feeling so upset. Was it a bad ovulation?? If I do conceive, will I have another m/c?? I'm so upset! And, this was my first medicated cycle ever - shouldn't the ovulation been better???
Edited to add this which I found on the American Pregnancy site, considering I had a medicated cycle, my #s are definitely low:
Guideline to Progesterone levels during pregnancy: • 1-28 ng/ml Mid Luteal Phase (Average is over 10 for un-medicated cycles and over 15 with medication use) • 9-47 ng/ml First trimester • 17-146 ng/ml Second Trimester • 49-300 ng/ml Third Trimester

No, they didn't. I was at work and couldn't really ask questions and thought it was low based on my Jan #s but couldn't really remember. I just got home and looked it all up and am now upset. I will call tomorrow to ask.

Re: Low Progesterone at 8dpo
I had my progesterone checked at 7dpo and it was 6.6. I was put on progesterone suppositiories the same day. I just happened to get my BFP the next week. My first beta my progesterone was 15. My second beta it was 18. I am now 5 weeks today. I would def. inquire about the suppossitories.

Re: Low Progesterone at 8dpo
why are you having your progesterone checked at 8dpo in the first place?? are you not being monitored to determine if you actually ovulated?? many REs put you on progesterone supplementation regardless of the numbers just to be safe. did you dr. mention anything about progesterone supplementation?? it doesnt make sense that they wouldnt mention that!!

Re: Low Progesterone at 8dpo
From what I've seen online, I thought checking progesterone at 8dpo to confirm ovulation was the norm. Is it not??
I had an u/s at CD12 and had one follicle at 20.5. On CD13 I did an HCG trigger shot and had IUI on CD14. Now today, CD21 they checked my hormone levels. I have to go back in 1 week for another blood test to check for pregnancy.

Re: Low Progesterone at 8dpo
Thanks everyone! I'm hoping for progesterone. I left the Dr a msg early this morning and haven't heard back. A few min ago I left one for his nurse. I feel like without improving my progesterone #s there is no shot of getting pregnant this cycle!
