Lt's talk about next year...

I still haven't heard anything as far as having a job next year. This is my third year in my district (a long island public school). The past two years I got excessed and then re-hired.
Right now I'm working as an independent contractor for the nonpublic schools and LOVE it! I would love to say in the position I have, but I have no idea what will happen.

Anyone else unsure about next year? I just applied on olas to a few special ed. position (I have secondary cert.) Anyone know the market is for Special Ed?

I have no clue for next year.

Right now I am a provisional DOE employee on excess from a LI public school. I still have 4 years to be called back...but I doubt as an elective teacher that is happening.

I am tryiing to find out if I am eligible for NYC DOE open market...I should know by the end of the week.

I am also still considering moving back down to SC. I have an interview at my old school (new principal) next week.

I'm unsure about next year. Being untenured with all these budget cuts is scary!
