On Friday I was showering and felt something funny, so I called the dr and made an appt for today. I went there totally thinking that it was just me and that she was going to tell me she didn't feel anything and that I was making something of nothing.....well she did feel it and now I have to go for a sono on thursday afternoon. She said not to worry that it feels more cystic or something else I can't remember the other name. But we have to have it checked reguardless. So, I'm not totally freaking out b/c she really seems to think it is nothing, but that small chance that it is something is alittle unsettleling. Anyone else ever have this?? Just curious.

OMG, I can't believe you posted this. I found a lump in my breast last week. I called my doctor but she made me wait until my period was over since they can come and go. Well, It's still here and I have an appt tomorrow. I am so nervous and of course DH is away on business.

Re: Lump in breast?

I've had lumps on and off since I was in my teens. Since I have no family history to go by I've had mammo's, sono's, biopsy's and surgeries.

The key here is that you caught the lump early and your doctor is going to have you tested. Some women develop lumps as part of pms - this could be what it is.

I don't remember if you said they were sending you for a mammo first or the sono - if it's the mammo ask the dr. for a rx for a sonno also. Some mammo's do not show lumps and the sono will pick it up. IMO sonno's give the dr and the tech a better reading on the type of lump it is and what the next course of treatment should be. The sonno tech's also seem to be a little nicer and will give you more feedback during the scan.

Feel free to fm me if you have any questions

I do not nurse so it can't be that. I found it while I had AF but went to the dr after AF and it's still there.
