I am a lurker. I have learned so much by doing so. I respond when I feel like I have something to add or to give a hug to someone who is going through a rough day.

Re: Lurkers
This thread now reminds me of the Newsday commercial..."I read...".... or an AA meeting -- "I am a lurker..." ...or that REALLY old commercial "I am a hemopheliac (NO disrespect meant for hemopheliacs!!)....
I think lurking is great ---- I did that too for a long while before I posted. I didn't want to "obesess" but well now I have to.
to all the nice lurkers...and for all the FMs ladies!!

I WAS a very active poster on these boards as you all know. I had a M/C and then decided to no longer post publically about my TTC issues anymore. THIS is a PERSONAL decision, and I do not feel the need to explain why I chose this.
Flee you and me are alot alike, I too used to post on this board and the one time I actually had GOOD news to finally post it turned into a very negative thread. That is why I choose not to post here and it is because of the negativity of one particular poster.
I used to post a lot on here too in the past but the board got weird and hurtful, not to me personally, but from what I have read to others so I felt this board had a bad/negative energy. But there are many NEW people on here so I come back from time to time to lurk or post or reply.

Re: Lurkers
Some people lurk because they have friends on the boards and don't want it public that they are TTC or considering it.

Re: Lurkers
I lurk here a lot. I don't get involved in too many of the posts, either someone has answered a question better than I could or there is nothing more for me to say. I will usually congratulate someone when the get their BFP or offer advice if I think I can help.

Re: Lurkers
I am a lurker on many of the boards as well. When I was TTC, I very rarely posted on TTC because that was a very personal thing for DH and I. I had many of the same concerns and questions as many of the people that had already posted so I never felt the need to post any of my own Qs (or very few anyway). What constitutes a "regular" poster vs. just a lurker though? I have over 500 posts but I consider myself a lurker. There are "regular" posters who I recognize their screen names by "causing controversy". Some have many more and some have a lot less posts than I do. Some people just pick their battles better than others. Also, there are some topics that start off innocent and turn into something else. I know it has been said many times, but tone is often misinterpreted on the web. There are not enough emote-icons to properly display tone!

Re: Lurkers
I lurk and post when I have something to add.
Some of the ladies here are ttc pros and know so much.
ALthough we have been @ it for a bit I am still in the amateur catagory as far as knoweledge about af topics, ttc, infertility, charting & temps. I only feel confident to post when somthing hits home for me or I actually have the experience and something to add.

Re: Lurkers
i lurk here ---- because even though my DH and i know when we are gonna TTC - we arent trying now -- but when teh time comes i want to know as much as i can - so i am not oblivious what is happening to my body----
reading the posts of here are great for answerign questions i might have and finding out things i didnt know before at all---
it has been really insightful - and i hope these boards dont take a negative spin because even though i only "lurk" i really appreciate everything that is posted
